The TeenCope study was an Internet-based coping skills training program for adolescents with type 1 diabetes. To create the content and intervention strategy we analyzed the prior in-person intervention, convened a focus group with teens and parents, and designed the look of the intervention and a pilot session. Then we did think-aloud evaluations of the intervention with different teens and parents. Based on that response we made modifications and went into production of the program.
